About Me

Hi, I'm Holly!

I’m a Marketing & Communications professional based in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. I grew up in South Florida and attended the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Media and Journalism, where I earned BAs in Advertising/Public Relations and Psychology. In 2026, I earned my MBA from Longwood University.

Branding and storytelling are a big part of my work, but photography is where my love of art and storytelling first came together. I’ve been taking photos for more than a decade, and it remains one of my favorite ways to explore new places, connect with people, and change my perspective.

My love for photography began with wildlife.

When I was young, I would often visit zoos and challenge myself to photograph animals in interesting ways that made their surroundings unrecognizable. One of the first photos I was really proud of was of a scarlet macaw. That image inspired this website’s logo, an icon that combines a macaw's outstretched wing with a camera shutter. My interests have since expanded to include portraits, landscapes, architecture, and, in particular, human traces in nature. I’m drawn to primary colors, bold silhouettes, and striking patterns, all of which frequently appear in my work.

Art and photography have opened so many doors for me.

My work has received national and international recognition, including a National Gold Medal in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, recognition from W Magazine and the National Society of Arts and Letters, and finalist honors in Wildlife Photographer of the Year. My work has also been exhibited in galleries across the country, including the Pratt Institute, the School of Visual Arts, the Kravis Center, the Norton Museum of Art, and the McGuffey Art Center.

This website is a passion project: a home for my artwork and a place to experiment with web development! Thank you for visiting, and I hope you enjoy exploring my work.
